I recently got addicted to opening Instagram every morning right after waking up. Obviously to check how many likes I got on the new post. Soon I realized it was making me unhappy. So I took a little instadetox. It was strange at the beginning. "Ohhh! I should snap this to my story because my audience will like it". But as the challenge was accepted there was no way to give up. Managed to stay away for a week. Now feeling way better and detached so I'm not checking it all the time.
It was a good lesson of how one can get caught in searching for validation from outsiders which does't really have any value. So the video below is a bit about the whole experience.
